Sky Tower Grove Ginkgo
Ginkgo biloba ‘Sky Tower’
Ginkgo biloba 'Sky Tower' is a remarkable, narrowly columnar male cultivar prized for its exceptionally strong central leader, dense, upright habit, and brilliant golden-yellow fall color. This refined selection offers the legendary toughness and disease resistance of the ancient maidenhair tree in a tight, vertical form, making it an ideal choice for urban landscapes, narrow spaces, and formal plantings where a standard ginkgo would be too wide. Its distinctive, fan-shaped leaves emerge medium green in spring, hold their color through summer, and transform into a uniform, luminous golden-yellow in autumn, creating a spectacular seasonal display. As a male clone, it produces no messy, foul-smelling fruit. Exceptionally adaptable, pest-free, and low-maintenance, it is a superb choice for street plantings, privacy screens, and as a dramatic vertical accent.
