What We Commonly Source
We specialize in plants limited by availability, timing, or grower allocation.
Rare & Limited Cultivars
Collector and slow-propagating varieties
Variegated or specialty selections
Allocation-only or seasonal offerings
Hard-to-Find Edibles
Specialty citrus and uncommon fruit trees
Cultivars selected for flavor, not mass production
Small-batch orchard or edible garden varieties
Project & Batch Orders
Matching plants for cohesive designs
Privacy screens or structure plants in quantity
Contract-grown material (lead time required)
If a plant exists in California, chances are we know who grows it — or who can grow it.
How We Source Differently
Many services search lists.
We work relationships.
Grower-First Network
We collaborate directly with boutique growers, specialty propagators, and multi-generational nurseries across California — many of which do not sell to the public.
Human-Led Plant Matching
We understand cultivars, growth habits, substitution logic, and realistic timelines.
No automated catalogs. No vague promises.
Local Logistics Advantage
From Bay Area pickup to coordinated delivery, we plan around real-world constraints — not theoretical availability.
This is plant sourcing managed by people who actually work with plants.

Sourcing Fees & Timeline
Because rare and specialty plants require time, outreach, and verification, this service includes a custom sourcing fee per cultivar.
Sourcing Fee
$150 – $500 per cultivar, depending on rarity, number of growers contacted, and coordination complexity.
The sourcing fee covers outreach, verification, and professional coordination.
It is independent of final availability.
Typical Sourcing Fee Range
$150 – $500 per cultivar
The final sourcing fee is determined by factors such as plant rarity, number of growers contacted, verification required, and expected coordination time.
How Fees Are Typically Applied
$150 per cultivar
For well-documented plants with clear naming and known grower channels. These requests usually require limited outreach and straightforward availability checks.
$300 per cultivar
For less common or seasonal cultivars that require contacting multiple specialty growers, confirming size or propagation details, and evaluating realistic timelines or alternatives.
$500 per cultivar
For highly specific, disputed, or collector-level requests where availability is uncertain, naming may be inconsistent, or extended outreach and long lead times are expected.
The sourcing fee covers professional time spent on research, grower outreach, verification, and coordination.
It is independent of final plant availability and does not guarantee that a specific cultivar can be sourced.
If a plant is successfully located, pricing for the plant itself and delivery will be quoted separately based on size, condition, and logistics.
Timeline
Estimated sourcing timeframe ranges from approximately 1 month up to 6 months.
Availability cannot be guaranteed for all cultivars.
If a plant is successfully sourced, plant pricing and delivery are quoted separately based on size, condition, and logistics.
Typical Requests We Handle
“We need 24 matching privacy plants, 7–8 ft, for a residential install in three weeks.”
“Looking for a specific citrus cultivar for a Palo Alto client — quality matters more than speed.”
“Our garden center needs a limited-run variety we don’t normally stock.”
If the request is specific, time-sensitive, or difficult — that’s where we’re most helpful.
