Hollandia Rose of Sharon
Hibiscus syriacus ‘Hollandia’
Hibiscus syriacus 'Hollandia', commonly known as Hollandia Rose of Sharon, is a showy, deciduous flowering shrub prized for its abundant, tropical-looking blooms in a lovely soft lavender-pink with deep rose centers. This vigorous, upright grower features medium green, coarsely-toothed, three-lobed leaves that provide a lush backdrop for the flowers. From mid-summer through early autumn, it produces an abundance of large, hollyhock-like blossoms that attract hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. Exceptionally hardy, heat-tolerant, and low-maintenance, it is an outstanding choice for borders, hedges, foundation plantings, and as a colorful specimen in mixed beds.
