Emerald Fountain Canadian Hemlock
Tsuga canadensis ‘Emerald Fountain’
Emerald Fountain Canadian Hemlock is a refined, slow-growing, needled evergreen prized for its exceptionally narrow, columnar form and dense, dark green foliage. A superior cultivar of the native Canadian hemlock, it maintains a natural, tight, upright habit without shearing, making it a superb alternative to columnar arborvitae . Its soft, short needles are arranged in flat, lacy sprays, with distinctive white bands on the undersides that add subtle texture. An excellent choice for small gardens, vertical accents, foundation plantings, and formal hedges, it brings year-round elegance and structure to shaded landscapes .
