Giant Red Bronze Treasure Flower
Gazania ‘Giant Red Bronze’
Gazania 'Giant Red Bronze' is a spectacular, tender perennial prized for its massive, daisy-like flowers in a rich, metallic red-bronze to copper-red hue and its exceptional heat and drought tolerance. This vigorous, mat-forming plant produces large, solitary flower heads (3-4 inches across) in a brilliant, warm, deep red-bronze with a darker, reddish-brown to bronze center and often a subtle ring of lighter or contrasting spots near the base of the petals . From late spring through summer and into autumn, the blooms open in the morning sunshine and close in the evening or on cloudy days, creating a dynamic, ever-changing display . The dark green, lobed, lance-shaped leaves form a low, mounding carpet, providing an attractive, glossy backdrop for the glowing flowers. A magnet for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, it is an outstanding choice for sunny borders, rock gardens, slopes, mass plantings, containers, hanging baskets, and as a vibrant, low-maintenance ground cover .
