Stella de Oro Daylily
Hemerocallis ‘Stella de Oro’
Hemerocallis 'Stella de Oro' is the world's most famous and popular daylily, prized for its exceptionally long bloom season, prolific golden-yellow flowers, and compact, reblooming habit. This award-winning perennial forms a tidy clump of strap-like, bright green, deciduous foliage that remains attractive throughout the growing season. From late spring through summer, and often into early fall, it produces an abundance of slender, smooth scapes (flower stems) bearing fragrant, 3-inch wide, lily-shaped blooms in a rich, golden-yellow hue with lightly ruffled edges, creating a long-lasting, cheerful display that attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Exceptionally easy to grow, adaptable to a wide range of conditions, drought-tolerant once established, and deer resistant, it is an outstanding choice for borders, edging, mass plantings, rock gardens, containers, and as a colorful ground cover.
