Variegated Maiden Grass
Miscanthus sinensis ‘Gracillimus’, Eulalia
Gracillimus Maiden Grass (Miscanthus sinensis ‘Gracillimus’) is one of the most timeless and widely used ornamental grasses in landscape design. Known for its narrow, arching leaves and soft, fountain-like form, it adds movement, texture, and seasonal interest to gardens year-round.
This variety shines in Bay Area landscapes, where its drought tolerance, minimal maintenance needs, and architectural presence make it a favorite for both residential and commercial projects.
Why gardeners and designers choose Gracillimus Maiden Grass:
-
Creates a soft, flowing backdrop without feeling bulky
-
Produces airy, silvery plumes in late summer and fall
-
Excellent for modern, naturalistic, and Asian-inspired gardens
-
Performs beautifully in water-wise and low-maintenance landscapes
-
Provides winter structure when left standing through the cold season
Whether planted as a stand-alone specimen, grouped in drifts, or used as a natural privacy screen, Gracillimus Maiden Grass delivers elegance and reliability year after year.
