Single Hellebore
Helleborus orientalis ‘Single’
Helleborus orientalis 'Single is a charming, winter-blooming woodland perennial prized for its elegant, cup-shaped, nodding flowers in a rich rose-pink hue. This classic Lenten Rose forms a dense, clumping mound of handsome, leathery, deeply serrated, palm-like evergreen leaves that provide year-round structure in the shade garden. From late winter through mid-spring, it produces an abundance of single, outward-facing blooms that brighten the garden when little else is in flower. Exceptionally cold-hardy, shade-tolerant, deer and rabbit resistant, and low-maintenance, it is an outstanding choice for woodland gardens, shaded borders, containers, and winter-interest plantings.
