Q: Is it invasive?
A: It is a vigorous spreader but is generally not considered invasive in the ecological sense. It spreads by surface runners and can fill an area quickly, which is desirable for a ground cover. It is easy to pull up or trim back where it's not wanted.

Q: How do I keep it from getting leggy?
A: If the center of a mature patch thins out or stems become too long, a midsummer "renovation" cut can work wonders. Use hedge shears to cut the entire planting back by half. Water and fertilize lightly, and it will quickly regrow into a fresh, dense, and floriferous mound.
