Commercial & Large-Scale Orders

Plant Procurement for Landscape & Commercial Projects

Large landscape projects need more than individual plants.

They need the right species, sizes, quantities, timing, and consistency.

Victory Nursery helps landscape professionals, builders, property managers, HOAs, designers, and commercial clients source plants and trees for projects throughout Northern California.

Through our California grower network, we can research availability, locate matching batches, coordinate specialty sizes, and help organize plant material around your project schedule.

Who We Work With

Our commercial sourcing service is designed for:

  • Landscape contractors

  • Landscape designers and architects

  • Builders and developers

  • HOAs and community associations

  • Property managers

  • Commercial property owners

  • Hospitality and restaurant projects

  • Farms and orchards

  • Schools and institutional projects

  • Municipal and community landscapes

  • Large residential projects

You do not need to be a large corporation to use this service.

If your project requires quantities, matching material, specialty sizes, or sourcing from multiple growers, we can review it.

What We Can Source

Trees

We can research standard and larger landscape trees in a range of nursery sizes, including boxed and mature material when available.

Privacy & Screening Plants

Need a consistent hedge or privacy screen?

We can look for batches with similar height, container size, and overall development.

Shrubs & Mass Plantings

For projects requiring dozens or hundreds of shrubs, we can check available quantities across appropriate growers.

California Natives & Drought-Tolerant Plants

We can help source plant palettes for California landscapes where water use, climate suitability, and project specifications matter.

Fruit Trees & Edible Landscapes

We can research fruit trees, vines, berries, orchard material, and edible landscape plants for qualifying projects.

Specialty Cultivars

If a project specifies an uncommon cultivar or plant that is difficult to locate, we can expand the search through our specialty sourcing network.

Mature & Specimen Trees

For projects requiring immediate scale or architectural impact, we can also research larger boxed trees and specimen material.

Uniform & Matching Plant Batches

Large projects often require more than the correct botanical name.

Consistency matters.

Depending on available grower inventory, we can help identify batches with similar:

  • Container size

  • Height

  • Canopy width

  • Trunk caliper

  • Growth stage

  • Form

  • Overall appearance

Because plants are living products, exact uniformity cannot always be guaranteed.

When matching is important, tell us at the beginning of the project so we can make it part of the sourcing criteria.

Send Us Your Plant Schedule

Already have a landscape plan?

Send us your plant schedule or material list.

Useful information includes:

  • Botanical name

  • Cultivar

  • Container or box size

  • Quantity

  • Required specifications

  • Acceptable substitutions

  • Project address

  • Installation schedule

PDFs, spreadsheets, landscape schedules, and simple plant lists are all welcome.

Our team can review the material and determine the best sourcing approach.

How Commercial Plant Sourcing Works

1. Send Us the Project

Provide your plant list, quantities, sizes, project location, and expected timeline.

If the project is still being designed, send us what you have.

2. We Review the Requirements

We identify which items may be available through regular channels and which require broader sourcing.

We also review quantities, matching requirements, specialty sizes, timing, and substitution flexibility.

3. We Check Grower Availability

We research appropriate California growers and nursery suppliers based on the needs of the project.

For larger or more complex projects, material may come from more than one source.

4. We Present Available Options

Depending on the project, sourcing information may include:

  • Available sizes

  • Quantities

  • Pricing

  • Estimated lead times

  • Current photos when available

  • Matching options

  • Possible substitutions

5. We Coordinate the Order

Once material is approved, we coordinate ordering and scheduling based on the agreed project requirements.

Delivery and other services can then be planned separately.

Multi-Phase Projects

Not every project needs all of its plants at once.

For phased installations, we can help organize plant sourcing around different sections or installation dates.

This may include:

  • Phase-based quantities

  • Separate delivery dates

  • Material grouped by installation area

  • Grower holds when available

  • Seasonal availability planning

  • Coordination around construction schedules

For larger projects, early planning gives us more options.

Pre-Tagging & Plant Selection

Some projects require individual plants or groups of plants to be reviewed before delivery.

Depending on the grower, project size, and material, pre-tagging or additional plant-selection coordination may be available.

This is especially useful for:

  • Specimen trees

  • Entry or focal-point plants

  • Matching tree rows

  • High-visibility landscape areas

  • Projects with strict visual specifications

Availability and additional costs vary by project.

Contract-Grow Options

Some projects need plants that are not available in the required quantity today.

For qualifying projects, contract-growing may be an option through participating growers.

This can be useful for:

  • Large quantities of one cultivar

  • Future development phases

  • Specialty plant palettes

  • Orchard projects

  • Community developments

  • Projects with long planning horizons

Contract growing requires advance planning.

Lead times may range from several months to more than a year depending on species, size, quantity, and production requirements.

Substitutions & Value Engineering

Specified plants are not always available in the required size or quantity.

When substitutions are allowed, we can help identify alternatives based on factors such as:

  • Growth habit

  • Mature size

  • Evergreen or deciduous character

  • Flower or foliage characteristics

  • Water needs

  • Landscape function

  • Available nursery size

  • Budget

All substitutions remain subject to project approval.

Commercial Pricing

Pricing depends on the plants, quantities, sizes, grower availability, project requirements, and logistics.

Eligible landscape professionals, contractors, designers, and commercial customers may also qualify for trade consideration through our professional programs.

For meaningful project quantities, send us the complete plant list whenever possible.

This allows us to review the project as a whole rather than pricing individual plants one at a time.

Delivery & Job-Site Coordination

Plant sourcing and delivery are related, but they are not the same service.

Once material has been sourced, Victory Nursery can coordinate bulk plant delivery for qualifying projects throughout our service areas.

Delivery planning may consider:

  • Total load

  • Tree and plant sizes

  • Truck access

  • Staging area

  • Installation schedule

  • Multiple delivery phases

  • Special handling requirements

Mature Tree & Equipment Requirements

Large boxed trees may require special transportation, unloading, or installation equipment.

If your project includes mature or oversized trees, we can help identify these requirements during planning.

Planting & Installation

Plant sourcing does not automatically include landscape installation.

Victory Nursery may provide planting services for qualifying projects, or we can coordinate material delivery with your existing landscape contractor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a minimum order?

There is no single quantity that defines every commercial project.

Project size, plant sizes, sourcing complexity, and delivery requirements all matter.

Send us your list and we can determine the appropriate service.

Can you source 50 or 100 of the same plant?

Often, yes.

Availability depends on species, cultivar, size, season, and current grower inventory.

Large quantities may require sourcing from multiple growers or advance production planning.

Can you source several hundred plants?

Yes, we can review larger plant schedules.

For substantial quantities, earlier planning usually provides more options for matching material and coordinating production.

Can you find matching trees?

Depending on available inventory, we can search for trees with similar size, form, trunk caliper, and canopy development.

Because trees are living products, perfect visual matches cannot always be guaranteed.

Can you work directly from a landscape architect's plant schedule?

Yes.

Send us the plant schedule with sizes, quantities, cultivars, and specifications.

What if some specified plants are unavailable?

If substitutions are permitted, we can research suitable alternatives for project approval.

Do you offer trade pricing?

Eligible professionals and commercial customers may qualify for trade consideration.

Can you hold plants until installation?

Sometimes.

Hold policies depend on the grower, material, season, length of hold, and project requirements. Deposits or additional fees may apply.

Do you deliver to job sites?

Yes, for qualifying projects within our delivery service areas.

Bulk and phased deliveries can be quoted based on the project requirements.
