Morning Maiden Grass
Miscanthus sinensis ‘Morning Light’
Morning Light Maiden Grass is a refined and elegant cultivar, considered one of the finest variegated grasses. Its narrow, arching blades are delicately edged in creamy white, giving the entire clump a shimmering, silvery-green appearance that seems to glow in the landscape. In fall, coppery-pink plumes rise above this luminous foliage, which itself turns to gold in winter. Its compact, neat habit and sterile nature make it a superior, well-behaved choice for adding light and texture.
Delicate White-Variegated Foliage: Features very narrow, fine-textured leaves with crisp white margins, creating an ethereal, silvery glow that brightens the garden.
Refined and Neat Habit: Grows in a perfectly symmetrical, upright fountain shape that remains tidy and never flops, reaching about 4-5 feet tall in bloom.
Sterile and Non-Invasive: This cultivar produces very few, if any, viable seeds, making it an environmentally safe choice that won't spread unwanted.
Exceptional Light-Reflecting Qualities: The variegated foliage catches and reflects light beautifully, making it a standout in evening gardens or against darker backgrounds.
Four Seasons of Elegance: Offers silvery-green summer color, pinkish fall plumes, and attractive golden-tan winter presence.
