Dichondra ‘Silver Falls’, Dichondra argentea, Ponyfoot, Silver Nickel Vine, Silver Dichondra
Silver Falls Dichondra is a striking ornamental groundcover known for its cascading silver foliage and exceptional heat tolerance. Native to arid regions, this low-growing plant brings a cool, modern texture to landscapes, containers, and slopes, especially in warm and dry climates like California.
Silver Falls Dichondra features long, flowing stems densely covered with round, velvet-like silver leaves. Its reflective foliage brightens gardens year-round and contrasts beautifully with green or flowering plants. It performs exceptionally well as a groundcover, spiller plant, or erosion-control solution on slopes.
This plant thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, requiring minimal maintenance once established. In mild coastal and Bay Area climates, it can remain evergreen and attractive throughout the year.
