Q: How do I care for it in a pot?
A: Use a very well-draining cactus/succulent mix in a pot with a drainage hole. Water only when the soil is completely dry. Provide maximum sunlight. It can live happily in a container for many years.

Q: What happens after it flowers?
A: The main rosette dies after sending up a spectacular flower spike. However, it often produces offsets ("pups") around its base before flowering. These can be left to form a colony or removed and replanted.
