Joe Evergreen Clematis is a delightful, finely textured vine prized for its unique foliage and prolific flowering. Unlike most clematis, it features deeply divided, fern-like leaves that remain a glossy dark green all year, providing excellent visual texture. In late winter to early spring, it is smothered in a cloud of tiny, pure white, star-shaped flowers with greenish-yellow centers. Its compact, bushy, and semi-vining habit makes it perfect for containers, small trellises, or spilling over walls.

• Fern-Like Evergreen Foliage: Boasts unusually divided, pinnate leaves that are glossy and dark green, providing superb year-round texture.

• Profusion of Early White Flowers: Blooms exceptionally early (late winter to early spring) with a massive display of small, bright white, starry flowers.

• Compact & Versatile Habit: Grows as a semi-vining shrub, typically 3-5 ft. tall and wide, ideal for containers, small obelisks, rock gardens, or as ground cover.

• Early Nectar Source: Its early blooms provide a valuable nectar source for emerging pollinators.

• Low-Maintenance Pruning (Group 1): Requires little to no pruning. Simply tidy up or shape after flowering if desired.
