Texas Scarlet Flowering Quince is a tough, early-spring herald that covers itself in a brilliant display of vibrant red flowers before its leaves emerge. This deciduous shrub produces a profusion of single, cup-shaped, fiery scarlet blooms with a prominent cluster of golden-yellow stamens at the center. Blooming in late winter to early spring, it provides crucial early nectar for pollinators.
