Description

Gaura lindheimeri 'Ballerina White' is a graceful, compact perennial prized for its profusion of delicate, pure white, butterfly-like flowers and exceptionally long bloom season. Part of the Ballerina series, this improved selection forms a tidy, bushy mound of narrow, lance-shaped, dark green leaves that may develop reddish-bronze tints. From late spring through summer and into fall, it produces slender, airy, branching stems bearing an abundance of small, four-petaled, white flowers that flutter in the breeze, creating a soft, ethereal display that attracts butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. Exceptionally drought-tolerant, heat-tolerant, and deer-resistant, it is an outstanding choice for sunny borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, containers, mass plantings, and cutting gardens.
