Description

Geranium incanum is a charming, long-blooming perennial ground cover prized for its delicate, saucer-shaped flowers and finely textured, grass-like foliage. This vigorous, self-sowing South African native forms a spreading, mounding mat of finely lobed, bright green leaves with a wiry, feathery, grassy texture. From spring through fall, it produces an abundance of small, dainty, light purple-pink flowers with pale centers and delicate veining, creating a soft, airy, colorful carpet that attracts butterflies and other pollinators. Exceptionally adaptable, it thrives in a range of light conditions from full sun to shade, and is an outstanding choice for ground cover, rock gardens, slopes, borders, containers, and as a filler between stepping stones or under shrubs.
