Description

Summer Soul Arabian Jasmine is a prolific cultivar selected for its larger, fully double, creamy-white flowers that resemble small roses. It shares the legendary nighttime fragrance of the species but offers a more ornamental bloom form. The flowers gradually take on a pinkish blush as they age. It is slightly more cold-tender than the species and performs best in warm, frost-free locations or as a container plant that can be overwintered indoors.

Q: How is it different from the common 'Maid of Orleans' (single flower) variety?
A: 'Summer Soul' has fully double flowers that look like miniature garden roses, while 'Maid of Orleans' ('Grand Duke of Tuscany') also has double flowers but in a tighter, more globular form. Both are highly fragrant and tender.

Q: What's the best way to overwinter it?
A: Bring the container indoors to a bright, cool (above 40°F) location before the first frost. Reduce watering but do not let it dry out completely. It may go semi-dormant and drop some leaves.
