Description

Munstead English Lavender is a compact and reliable dwarf cultivar, offering all the classic attributes of English lavender in a smaller, neater package. It forms a tight, bushy mound of silvery-green foliage and blooms slightly earlier than other varieties, producing abundant spikes of sweetly fragrant, lavender-blue flowers. Its smaller stature makes it an excellent choice for low edging, formal knot gardens, patios, and containers where space is limited but impact is desired.

  • Compact and Dwarf Habit: A smaller variety, typically reaching 12-18 inches tall and wide, perfect for small spaces.

  • Early and Prolific Bloomer: Flowers in early to mid-summer, often providing a slightly earlier display than other English types.

  • All the Classic English Lavender Qualities: Shares the same wonderful fragrance, cold hardiness, and culinary usefulness as the species.

  • Ideal for Formal Edging and Containers: Its uniform, mounding shape is superb for creating tidy borders or thriving in pots.

  • Easy to Grow and Maintain: Requires the same basic care (full sun, good drainage) as other English lavenders.
