Description

Fruitless Mulberry (Morus alba 'Fruitless') is a fast-growing deciduous shade tree prized for its broad, spreading canopy and lush green foliage. Large, heart-shaped to occasionally lobed leaves create dense summer shade, helping cool patios, lawns, and spacious outdoor living areas. In fall, the foliage turns yellow before dropping for winter, allowing sunlight to reach the ground during cooler months. Unlike fruiting mulberries, this selection generally does not produce messy berries, making it a practical choice for landscapes where fruit drop is undesirable. Adaptable to full sun and a variety of soils, Fruitless Mulberry tolerates heat and periods of drought once established. Its vigorous growth and expansive crown make it best suited to larger properties.
