Description

Nepeta 'Six Hills Giant' is a robust, drought-tolerant perennial prized for its exceptionally tall, airy spikes of soft lavender-blue flowers and aromatic, gray-green foliage. This vigorous cultivar forms an upright, mounding clump of small, ovate, scalloped, fuzzy gray-green leaves that release a pleasant, minty fragrance when brushed. From late spring through summer and often into early fall, it produces an abundance of long, branched, wand-like spikes covered in small, two-lipped, tubular, soft lavender-blue flowers, creating a dramatic, billowing, wave-like effect. The flowers are highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. With its excellent drought and heat tolerance, deer and rabbit resistance, and taller, more substantial habit, it is an outstanding choice for sunny borders, mass plantings, cottage gardens, and as a colorful, low-maintenance ground cover.
