Description

Duet New Zealand Flax is a bright and cheerful variegated cultivar that seems to glow in the garden. Its leaves are a soft lime-green to chartreuse with a bold, creamy-white to pale yellow margin. The high-contrast variegation is consistent and eye-catching. Forming a dense, upright clump, it is exceptionally effective at lighting up shady corners, brightening mixed borders, or adding a splash of luminous color to container arrangements.

  • Vibrant Lime & Cream Variegation: Showcases bright, arching leaves with a lime-green center and a wide, creamy-white edge.

  • Excellent Light Reflector for Shade: The light-colored foliage brilliantly brightens up partially shaded garden areas.

  • Compact, Dense Clumping Habit: Grows in a tight, well-proportioned mound that maintains its neat appearance.

  • Prefers Afternoon Shade in Hot Climates: While tolerant of sun, its variegated leaves appreciate protection from intense afternoon sun to prevent scorching.

  • Deer Resistant & Easy Care: Requires minimal attention and is ignored by browsing animals.

A: It has a moderate growth rate. It will establish a good-sized clump within a few seasons but isn't overly vigorous.
