Description

Schipka English Laurel is a more refined and manageable cultivar of the English Laurel. It has a naturally graceful, vase-shaped form with narrower, pointed leaves. It grows to a moderate size, making it an excellent choice for a lower, elegant evergreen hedge or specimen in partial shade without the overwhelming vigor of the standard species.

  • Grows with a naturally attractive, upright, and spreading vase-shaped habit, requiring less pruning to look good.

  • Features longer, more lance-shaped leaves than English Laurel, giving it a finer texture.

  • Reaches a more moderate size (4-10 ft tall), making it suitable for residential hedges and foundations without constant battle.

  • Prefers partial shade but tolerates sun with adequate water. Shares the same fragrant spring flowers and toxicity.
