Description

Autumn Royalty Encore Azalea is a taller, stately selection within the reblooming series, known for its large, orchid-purple, single flowers. It provides a stunning color contrast in the shade garden. Blooming first in a magnificent spring display, it continues to produce flowers intermittently through the warmer months. Its larger size makes it excellent for use as a taller background shrub, screen, or specimen in partially shaded borders.

Large Orchid-Purple Flowers: Bears sizable, single-form blooms in a distinctive, rich purple hue, creating a royal presence.
Taller Growth Habit: One of the larger Encore varieties, maturing to 4-5 feet tall and wide, providing more substantial presence.
Multi-Season Interest: Offers the reliable reblooming trait, with flowers appearing in spring, summer, and fall.
Elegant in Woodland Settings: Its unique color and size make it a perfect focal point in a naturalistic or shade garden.
Requires Acidic Soil: Must be planted in well-drained, acidified soil for optimal health and flowering.

Faqs

Q: How fast does it grow to its mature size?
A: It has a moderate growth rate and will take several years to reach its full 4-5 foot size. Proper siting, soil, and consistent moisture will encourage steady growth.

Q: Is it suitable for a container?
A: Yes, but due to its potential size, choose a large, sturdy container with excellent drainage. Use a potting mix formulated for acid-loving plants. Container growth may slightly restrict its ultimate size.
