Description

Rosa 'First Prize' is a stunning, award-winning hybrid tea rose prized for its spectacular, large, bi-color blooms of pink and creamy-white, resembling a vibrant floral "opera mask." Introduced by John H. Patterson in 1959, this classic rose produces huge, fully double, high-centered flowers with 35-40 petals in a striking blend of deep rose-pink and soft cream, often with the pink concentrated on the petal edges . The blooms are very large (up to 6 inches across), long-lasting, and appear in flushes from late spring through fall . With a light, sweet fragrance, excellent cold hardiness, and a vigorous, upright habit, it is an outstanding choice for cut flowers, mixed borders, and as a colorful garden specimen.
