Faqs

Q: How do I prune and care for it to get the best blooms?
A: Prune in late winter/early spring: remove dead/diseased wood, thin out weak canes, and cut back remaining strong canes by about one-third to one-half. Fertilize regularly during the growing season, water deeply at the base, and ensure it gets at least 6 hours of full sun daily. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers.

Q: Is it truly as disease-resistant as modern roses?
A: While no rose is completely immune, 'Peace' is renowned for having excellent disease resistance for a Hybrid Tea introduced in its era. It generally stays healthier with less spraying than many other Hybrid Teas. However, in humid climates, some preventive fungicidal care may still be beneficial to keep it at its absolute best. Modern shrub roses may offer even greater resistance with less formal care.
