Description

The Tineke Rubber Plant is an elegant and sophisticated variegated cultivar with a more subdued palette than the 'Ruby'. Its large, oval leaves are artistically splashed and marbled with irregular patterns of creamy white, gray-green, and dark forest green. The stems and leaf sheaths often have a soft pink blush. It is slightly less demanding than the 'Ruby' but still requires bright, indirect light to keep its variegation crisp and beautiful. It's a perfect choice for a chic, modern interior.

Elegant Marbled Variegation: Features a beautiful, irregular patchwork of cream, gray-green, and dark green.
Subtle Pink Accents: Often displays hints of pink on the midrib, stems, and new leaf sheaths.
Bright Indirect Light is Key: Needs good light to prevent the plant from reverting to mostly green growth.
Upright & Structured Growth: Maintains a clean, upright form that works well in contemporary settings.
Less Intense Light Required than 'Ruby': While it needs good light, it can tolerate slightly less intense brightness than its pinker cousin.

Faqs

Q: What does it mean if it's producing mostly solid green leaves?A: This is called "reversion." The plant is prioritizing chlorophyll production due to lower light levels. To restore variegation, prune back the all-green stems to their point of origin and increase the plant's light exposure.
