After establishment, it handles low to moderate water. Occasional deep watering keeps it looking fuller.

Can it grow in shade?
It tolerates partial shade, but flowering and density are best with more sun.

Is it good for coastal conditions?
Yes. It’s well-suited to wind, salt spray, and sandy coastal soils.

How do I keep it from taking over?

Does it stay green year-round?
In mild California climates it is typically evergreen, with best color in cooler seasons.
