Description

Lavandula x intermedia 'Alba' is a sterile, hybrid lavender prized for its elegant, pure white flower spikes and strong, classic lavender fragrance. This vigorous Lavandin cultivar forms a compact, upright, mounding shrub of aromatic, gray-green to silvery-green, linear foliage. From mid to late summer, it produces long, slender, graceful flower spikes rising above the foliage, covered in small, tubular, pure white blossoms. The flowers retain their clean, bright white color and have a strong, camphor-rich lavender fragrance, making them excellent for drying, sachets, potpourri, and fresh-cut arrangements. Highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, it also has excellent tolerance for heat, drought, deer, and poor, well-drained soils. It is an outstanding choice for low hedges, borders, mass plantings, moonlight (white) gardens, slopes, and containers.
