Q: How do I keep it looking tidy?
A: Simply pull or cut old, brown, or damaged leaves from the base of the plant as needed. Avoid cutting into the healthy green/red part of the leaf, as this can create an entry point for disease.

Q: How cold hardy is it?
A: Most New Zealand flaxes are hardy to around 15-20°F (-9 to -7°C). In Zone 9a, it is fully hardy. Protect the crown with mulch in an unusually severe freeze.
